All of us at some juncture in life wish to project an image, and be admired as the charismatic characters we have always had adulation for and been in awe of. Thus begins one’s quest for that ‘IDEAL’ image one wishes to portray to the world outside. Unfair as it is, most of us judge and in turn are judged by our ostentatious persona. Remember, it takes only a few seconds to judge others and usually the first impression is the last. While the acquisition of academic and professional qualification cannot be undermined, paying adequate attention to personal grooming too is indisputably essential. A well-groomed person exudes confidence and competence and radiates a positive attitude. To quote Dale Carnegie in his best seller ‘How to win friends and influence people’ – “Everyone can spot a fake and it does not help to be one.” A well-qualified and well groomed person displays a character with depth, lets his inner charisma flow and creates a positive impression with a dynamic and magnetic persona. So one’s sojourn must stop enroute campus to enter the portals of grooming to achieve at both – Campus and Beyond !
